Harmonisation of cyber regulations and standards

Cybersecurity is a global problem, requiring global solutions.  U.S and EU regulators are moving to regulate cyber security for Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) providers, Financial Institutions, public entities register on U.S Capital Markets and infrastructure.  Regulation that sets requirements for public and private sector organisations to comply with requirements for cybersecurity risk management.  Requirements that if not harmonised between partner nations set different levels of cyber compliance between nations, and their public and private sector firms.

In the enclosed presentation we discuss the challenges of cyber regulation and need to harmonise cybersecurity between partner nations.  We discussed this paper with U.S and UK agencies and regulators.  Starting a conversation on the harmonisation of cybersecurity regulations and standards, necessary to facilitate international trade.

We will continue to augment this paper with thought leadership on the harmonisation of cybersecurity risk management regulations and standards.
